Title: IMMO 2 adapt without original cluster
Post by: blkhatsilhouette on October 11, 2020, 04:10:08 PM
Hey everyone, I've only dealt with these issues with IMMO 3, kind of stumped. The cluster in this car I just got isn't displaying the mileage, time, etc... does light up when trying to start, but immo is active. I figured I could read with vagtacho and get SKC, but it wont connect. Junkyard cluster plugged in lets me login and read fine...

How can I adapt a immo 2 cluster if I don't have the SKC from the original? Is it possible or is a delete the only route?

Thanks!

all you need is a new pin

New pin? You mean pin from replacement cluster? I assume I need the pin from original to adapt the new one with VCDS?

I pulled SKC from replacement (used junkyard) cluster. You're saying I can adapt immo2 with just the used clusters pin, no need to original?

I know I'd obviously have to adapt key to this as well.

IMMO 2 doesn't pair ECU to cluster like IMMO 3 so it doesn't have a SKC as such all IMMO 2 are 63555 iirc so as above...if installing IMMO 3 to IMMO 2 use SKC from new cluster VCDS 17 instruments 11 login (new cluster SKC) 10 adaptation channel 21 new key value test save done cycle ignition
