Title: Big turbo tune help.....please
Post by: chill gates on November 27, 2020, 10:31:48 PM
What maps am I looking for in general to tune for a gt30 and also 630cc injectors. Also I’m running a greddy profect 2 boost controller. Any advice with the n75 (delete)?

Be easy on me

ditch the greddy.

5120 hack. Keep the n75

You should have found a tuner first before doing any hardware mods. What were you thinking?

Also, somehow you managed to fail to say which ECU this is for.

My bad me 7.5.

And kinda was forced into the hardware change at first with the timing skip. Kinda blew up from there
 Anyone need a greddy? Lol

My bad me 7.5.

That narrows it down to about a dozen different motors.

How about a P/N?

Thank you brother. Any must do’s that you can throw at me would be much appreciated. Build is 95% done. Also another wrench to throw in the equation is I converted from a 16v to a 20v head. Anything to do there? Before I get too much backlash the car was headed for the junkyard and I picked it up cheap. (Invested 480,875% more into it) main reason for build was to shut some Honda folk down

Also say I was to not ditch the greddy does anyone have any advice on it? I did also spring for the map pack addition as well.

Mechanical/electrical engineering background so your advice will not go to waste. Appreciate y’all

i got a 95 eg that would be happy to give you a run lol... anyway an actual rundown of whats done to the car from top to bottom with some pics. you can use a standalone boost controller if you want its not going to hinder anything

i guess the one thing is why did you have a 06a block with a 16v and swap back to a 20v head? whats the engine in? swap car?

Lol was just stirring the pot a little. Every once of my tuning capability’s are in the Honda community but that helps almost nothing here lol.

Will post pics in a bit ( am scared of the backlash)

Ie rods (remainder of internals are stock)
Awp 20v head swap
630cc Siemens inj
In tank Hp FP
Gt3071 (also have 6262 I’m considering later down the road)
Transverse turbo manifold
Fmic (am still running 2.75” hot and charge pipe)3” intake and exhaust
Greddy Profec 2 ebc with map pack
Water/meth system ( 1 intake 1 intercooler)
Have not upgraded TB yet but will do if it’s a must right away. Will be grabbing the grams 70mm as soon as I can
4 bar fpr
Stock fuel rail and intake
Planning to run a tial bov that I’ve already purchased dispite the rich in between shifts problem. That’s why spent so much on the sort shift equipment lol jk.
Stage 3 clutch
And lastly even though the only up side is that it’s cool to me is full interior torn out, caged and raced out lol.

Yes swap/project that I’ll never financially recover from. Started slow then kinda exploded

if its a swap car what chassis? do you have the harness installed and setup working you need to add the e pedal for throttle control really should add brake switch and clutch switch too. vss needs to be wired up too

Starting with the basics like fueling tvub is the injector dead times each injector size, brand, and possibly revision has it's own dead times that are supplied by the manufacturer. Tvub is the acronym for the dead times map. Calculated injection is next krkte is the name of that map. Injection is a decimal. Stock mk4 injectors are 317cc injectors and has a decimal of 0.103. So 317= 0.103. (317×0.103)÷630= new injection quantity. You will need a larger maf housing and you will need to scale that too. You can take the 3" housing from a vr6 or 225 tt

Personally I get fueling right with the maf unplugged first with ltft off.

Do have 3” housing already. And awesome thank you for the step in the right direction. Appreciate more than you know

for just starting out this isnt really something you wanna do long term. to get fueling sorted is one thing but besides that you need it. maf is the primary load input to the ecu and is used for fueling, and load calculations. id recommend getting fueling dialed first without that way youre not chasing your tail trying to iron out issues. if you have a boost or vacuum leak before the throttle you will be chasing your tail with hardware issues. one thing at a time. read the s4wiki tuning section and start learning the acronyms. start by looking at the community tune threads and take note of the basic maps for load calculation, torque, timing and requested fueling. unfortunately me7 is not anything like obd1 honda. for example you could tune a obd1 honda with similar setup on a emulator in about a week with zero experience while me7 will take you a full year of reading and soakup all your free time just to scratch the surface

Exactly where I am at. And yes I’ve studied that particular s4wiki a few times. And you nailed it on barley scratch the surface. Sweating it over here. And also spend enough time searching the forum that the only thing I don’t think I’ve read was how to keep my GF interested after all this. Thanks buddy really appreciate you

also i just wanna add before you make any changes checkout the me7 logger thread. get this setup and working on your car, learn how to read logs this by far is going to make or break your whole experience tuning on this engine management. generally me7 logs in csv format are the only accepted logs on the forum. vcds is nice but you can only log 3 blocks at a time and the resolution is not nearly as good as me7logger.

Do you mean alpha n or speed density?

What’s benefits of either? Does it effect tps delay at all?

Are you planning to write speed density in ASM in ME7.5?

Was honestly on barley aware of the capability to write it in me7.5. But other than not running an intake pipe I guess there’s no real benefit. I’m wrong a lot tho
