Title: VW Tdi Bew check engine light triggers
Post by: boost4days on December 27, 2020, 09:06:18 PM
Hello guys,

This is my first time posing on this forum. I am trying to understand the capabilities of tuning with NefMoto. I am wondering if it is possible to change check engine light triggers. If it’s possible I would like to discuss how I would go about doing this! Hopefully we can figure something out!

You'll have to be more specific. Each DTC has to be treated as a separate topic.

Are you referring to "nefmoto" form or software? Because nefmoto flashing software only works on some gas port injection me7 vag cars and noting else (meaning tdi is not supported). Also again its only for flashing no edits so youd need a solution for that too. clone mpps will read and write that ecu threw the port, for full recovery a bdm tool is needed. you can use bdm100, ktag, fgtech clones. for editing  (changing calibrations, removing dtcs, custom code etc)  you can use edcsuite,or winols. hope this helps put what youre asking into perspective a little better.

The DTC I was referring to was P2564, this is commonly removed but you need to pay a tuner, and I was hoping to learn how to do this for free.

Ok thanks for pointing me in the right direction, I will do some research on these software packages. Ill get back to you guys if I figure it out or need anymore tips!
