Title: Help to write MTM 4B0906018AL Post by: OberlandRacing on January 08, 2021, 06:09:12 AM So im completly new to this Game.
i have my First A4 B5 1.8T Engine Control Unit and it already got a Stage 1 from MTM. I was able to read the ECU via MPPS but i wasnt able to write. I opend the ECU and i found the small circuit Board ontop of it. I know that the small Atmel 12pin under the circuit board is for the encryption. now i would like to know if i can just desolder the MTM Cicuit Board and the "AM29F400BB" Shoud i buy a new EEPROM or can i solder the one from the MTM Board on the ecu? and also, i shoud be able to write the MTM File on the "Stock" EEPROM? I just wanna make shure that the car is running with this file before i write my own Files. Thanks! i cant upload images.. i got errors. The mtm tune “may” have something written in it to link it to your eeprom so before you do anything make a full backup of the eeprom and rom. However if you read it with mpps and you can read the file then it doesn’t even have a no read in it. You can pm me I’ll check for you.

Did i kill the Flash? I see no broken IC`s or anything. Title: Re: Help to write MTM 4B0906018AL Post by: tjwasiak on January 15, 2021, 11:21:13 AM You need to reprogram in boot mode as flash without daughterboard is not readable by the ECU.
