I have a Problem with pop & bang via A/C Button

I have changed the following areas

CWSAWE  1
DNWEK    7000
KFZWMN  first two to -18
KFZW2     first two to -18

This isn't working.. no Pops :-\

Have i to change any value in KFTVSA and KFNWEGM?

Btw the A/C won't work. The System has no gas inside.

Look around... I just recently wrote about this. If you want pops and bangs on overrun, this is what I do:
KFTVSA --> where you want it to happen 2.5s , and then modify the lowest load line of KFZWOP1&2  -22degrees, KFZWMN -31, KFZWMS -96, from 4000rpm to 6000.

No need to modify KFZW or KFZW2 for pops.

That will give you nice pops on overrrun down to 4000rpm

so i got it . but it should pop via A/C Button. Here in Germany the cops are very terrible with something like that..  Have you any idea how to get this job done on A/C Button?

Use KFZWMN and KFZWOP. TVSAG0 for completion.

If you only want it to pop on AC set DNWEK to 6000 and leave KFTVSA stock or even set to 0. Then it won't pop ever with AC off.

If you fear getting pulled over then you shouldn't do pops on overrun, which isn't illegal btw, but you should have a certified/homologated exhaust.

Hi Guys, I have a 1m AUQ Stage 2 Leon and I want to add the pop and bang with A/C but keep getting checksum issues.


I have no idea how to resolve this, as I am new to all this. Is it possible for someone to add loud pop and bang via A/C for me please?

Here in Denmark it’s illegal so would also guess it’s illegal in Germany too (:

-Unnecessary noise (same as with wheelspin) and if you do real pops it’s also over the noise limit.
-Removing the CAT will put you in risk of Emmision fraud (heavy fines, never seen any tho)

Okay, so I am wrong with something.
I tried to set dnwek to 6000, kftvsa was stock (I also tried to zero for all columns - result was same), tvsag0 to 2.5 and it still pops for all the time.
It didn't matter if I used A/C or not.

DNWEK is added to KFNWEGM. Which means there never will be fuel cut if AC is on. (If DNWEK is over 6000).

Have you left KFNWEGM stock? It's also true this method doesn't work perfectly. Sometimes a pop or two slip through before fuel is actually cut I suppose.

Yes kfnwegm is stock.
I reckon it wouldn't be perfect, but for me there was no change between ON/OFF

KFTVSA need to be 0 everywhere, DNWEK set to 7000 for it to activate with the AC button. The other maps you need to adjust are KFZWOP/2, KFZWMN and KFZWMS.

I have also kp file, which is similar and I have there in winols same columns in kftvsa.

first of all you are running way to rich, you have set TABGBTS (or was factory set) very low(which is fine for narrowband) but it will follow KFLBTS. You ask for as .77 lambda, whilees 1.8t's run best at 11.5 - 12.5 AFR (.84 lambda), fix your fueling first, and do logs.

If there is any stage 1 tune on this, id say start over and use the wiki.

kftvsa is fine. All for pops is fine. Its your "tune". I dont know what you all changed but it must be linked with the reason why you still have overrun with ac off.

Oh, I might know where the problem is, but I'm not sure, just an idea. This soft is tuned by me (and this is one of the older ones, where I tested this mod for A/C ON/OFF - that's also the reason why it's a bit strange for example given the richness), but I bought this car already with some chip from some company from my country (soft with almost + 0.000 nothing....it was 135kw). I don't have original soft from this car, but I compared my "original" with the original from the internet for my car a long time ago and there are quite strange things modified there, which I don't even know why someone did it. Maybe that's why I'm having trouble there. Or is it seriously because my A/C is out.

Thats the reason then. I had a dodgy pre build tune myselff and it was always pouring gas in the cylinders. Just get the original file, validate it and see if the car runs. Go from there, because this current one is more likely to destroy your engine then do any good. I ran the same ac on/off function on my 1.8t with the ac discharged/non working compressor, it has nothing to do with it.

Okay, I found original software for my car and I tried this A/C mod on them and results are same.
Car still popping all the time.
Any other ideas?

becaus you are asking a high load after peak efficiency. The map is all f*ed up.

send the map and logs.. you have to start doing logs

I still don't know why the LDRXN is wrong when the AFR comes out fine and the car doesn't knock, smoke and drives great....
The only thing that is over limit is the inject time for injectors.
It is higher, but I am preparing for larger injections.

And this map is (as I wrote before) one of the older ones I made a long time ago.

You have some serious reading to do on the s4wiki. Fuel is the easy part with stock internals.. Stop with the pop tune for now(it will only damage your turbo more) and focus on a good working car.. the 1.8t have a turbo with way to thin of a wall on the exhaust side of the turbo and is prone to crack very quick. The pop tune will only make things worse.. you should have pops from stock with only a good 3" exhaust.

This maps you need to edit for the pops and bangs on the ac/dc

KFZWMN -5 -10 you should try this out. Select Touring where you want the car to pop.
KFZWOP Selecting two top rows can be -0 -20. Select Touring where you want the car to pop.
KFTVSA Set to 2.5
DNWEK (put the revs of the car here) look in the map NMAX for the maximum revs.
TVSAGO Set to 2.5.
TVSABTE, Set to 2.5.

dnwek 6000 = pops and bangs when compressor running. So do you have gas in aircon etc, does your a/c work?

Oh, thank you, I already found it.
It could be seen that the unit knows that I have activated the button, but still no change for me.

I let it go, I just don't have popsandbangs. (I wanted it switchable or not at all)
But I'm still wondering if I have to have manual or automatic air conditioning for this or if it doesn't matter...
