Title: Tuning Sanity Check Post by: IWay on March 19, 2021, 04:52:05 AM Hello all,
Can anybody sanity check my current logs & confirm that I’m not way off the mark? The car is a 1.8T BAM with hybrid turbo, 550cc injectors, FMIC, Bosch 044 fuel pump, 4Bar FPR, 3” exhaust all the way through, decat, big TIP & air filter. Uprated rods & exhaust valves going in over the Easter holiday. Summary; - Target 300 - 350 HP, more towards 350 the better. - Turbo sold as capable of 350 - 360 HP, (Falcon Turbo Developments) - Petrol - UK 99 RON - Current logs at 5.5K; - 24PSI (Think this may be a little high, would 21 -22 be better?) - 16° advance (Think this may be a little low, would high teens low twenties be better?) - MAF 225 g/s - Lambda 0.81 Any experienced comments welcome. Thanks Title: Re: Tuning Sanity Check Post by: nyet on March 19, 2021, 10:24:54 AM Have you consulted the compressor map for the turbo? Otherwise, there is no real good way to know 25PSI is ok or not (other than doing a ton of dyno work)
Your PID is clearly not quite right, not sure why you still aren't logging PID variables. timing and fuel look ok. Running this level of boost is a sure fire way to do a rod delete. Also Nyet is spot on, have you checked the compressor map? |
