Title: IDA Pro vs Hex Workshop?
Post by: Stompen on May 12, 2012, 12:05:31 AM
I see that most ppl in here use IDA.
A friend of mine recommended Hex Workshop some time ago, and from what I understand, this is what many of the Saab trionic guys used when taking the codes apart...

How is IDA vs Hex workshop? It seems to me that hex is a bit easier to work with for us "noobs".. but then again, I`ve just started reading this forum :)

After using it a couple of times I found out it is used more to compare files if you have one original and one tuned file, to find what have been changed from the original file.
I also looked for a way too disassemble the code, and didn` t find any, so now I guess I`ll give IDA a go.
