Title: Fuel Econemy betwen 032HS (wideband) and 032S(narrowband)
Post by: Steven97i1 on June 17, 2021, 12:59:54 AM
Hey guys, i have a little problem
i accidently drove a Wideband ECU on a narrowband car.
the fuel econemy is Great on the Wideband ecu(down to 6-8l easylie)
but the Fuel econmy is AWFULL with the "original" ECU with stock stage 1 tuning or even completly stock ecu.(min. 10l average 12-15)

i only have Decated the car with 3" Downpipe.

Both ecus are Rear o2 off.

Why is that so?

Propably someone messed with the LAMFA table and richened part load lambda with it.

i dont think so, because the narrowband even when stock ( 3 Files compared all the same) and it always consume 15l

Uh, how do you accidentaly put a wideband ecu on a narrowband car, and expect it to work with o2 correction? I am confused :D

Limp mode fuel economy/driving/gauges all incorrect if injectors/kvb different etc.

yeah but Car runs better with wideband ECU then with narrowband
and with wideband it has better fuel econemy

If it's converted properly to wide band, otherwise you're just looking at faux figures and the ecu's adaptations are making it feel safe when that would be questionable.

Just pull the files and look at them, will most definitely answer your questions.

Wait, you have the same O2 sensors?

Thats what I was saying lol. How do you put the a wideband ecu on a narrowband ecu/harness and run with lambda sensor ( you dont). if you make the switch to wideband harness(add wires) then you cant go back because connector difference. So why are you surprised by fuel "economy"
