Title: HELP!!! What to use for WOT Enrichment
Post by: ottomatic612 on May 18, 2012, 08:09:47 AM
Hello,
I've been trying to figure out what is the best way to target WOT enrichment. I have a Ko4 car on e85 1000cc injectors & 85mm maf housing. The car starts leaning out on higher rpm range. What can I adjust? I already scaled Injectors & maf. The car runs mint in vac and part throttle. I cant seem to add fuel at WOT. Please any input would help.

'car is leaning out'

People use this statement in different ways. Some say a car is leaning out when O2 regulation goes positive BUT actual AFR still matches requested AFR. Others say it when their long trim fuel trims are positive (same/similar situation has before). And others say this when actual AFR never reaches (stays above) requested and O2 reg is usually positive in this situation. And even others see act afr = req afr and 0% trim/o2 reg BUT the target afr is too lean for their tastes.

What car do your have?
And which of these situations are you seeing?

And what does your O2 regulation look like? Injector duty? And long term fuel trims?

Log:
O2 reg
injection time

If your actual can't reach your requested, then it's a hardware issue more than likely. try a 3bar fpr. and/or adding an inline pump.

Or, if it is a narrow band car, perhaps the MAF isn't tuned right, or the car has a big vac (post MAF, pre turbo) leak.

The injector duty is around 60% up top. I think im tweaking the wrong maps. What maps should I change to add wot fuel?

"Scaled injectors and MAF" = disaster waiting to happen.

Hey guys,
So we figured out the problem. It turns out when the 044 pump was installed a 50 psi hose was used from the pump to the basket unit, and the hose tore apart causing it to lose pressure inside the tank. The hose was replaced with a higher pressure one and all is well now.
Thanks for all the input
