Title: Traction Control - Default Off Post by: ejg3855 on May 20, 2012, 08:12:41 AM I was pondering this the other day, and was wondering if any one knows which bits are the defaults for the TC?
Also is this is simple as switching a flag thus allowing the dash switch to turn on TC ? Thoughts, Comments, Suggestions, etc? ME7.5 I once read somewhere that you can change the hardwiring to make it default. Easier than doing it in the ecu. Why would you want to turn it off anyway? Why would you want to turn it off anyway? Its an interference and I often forget to turn it off, I really don't even like it in the winter. I dont need a computer to tell me my wheels are slipping. You can also turn it off w/ coding in the ABS controller. This can be done w/ VAG-COM/VCDS

Any ideas ?? The BAM showed coding for awd , data buss comm's and emmisions (Euro 3 IIRC) . So , It got me thinking - could we not turn off the emmisions here ??
