Title: tuned file, different checksum..
Post by: Stompen on May 21, 2012, 06:56:40 PM
Probably a stupid noob question, but  asking is the only way I`ll ever learn anything..

I have a tuned file from a  different ECU that I want to try on my car. When I open them in galletto, the checksums are different, as the original is 6994, and the tuned file is 778A...  If I flash my ECU with this file, will the checksum correct itself, or do I have to correct it after?

Also, I have a 8e0906018 "training" ECU that i have used to learn flashing . I did my first bench flash the other day, but the immo spoiled all my fun, so I couldnt start the car. Any way to disable the immo? (I have tried searching the forum). And how do I know which immo I have?

Thats all the stupid questions for now.
Back to IDA and winols to see if I can learn anything today :p

Thanks for your help, and a BIG thank you to Tony for making this possible for us :)
