Title: Can you calculate AFR on a narrowband ECU?
Post by: denniss112 on October 26, 2021, 03:59:49 AM
As the title says. Is it possible for a ME7.5 ECU that is narrowband, able to log some data so it can be calculated to a accurate AFR reading?

I will include a log I ran on my Audi TT MK1 180 FWD with a stage 1 tune + pop map on it.

No, logically thinking I don't think there is. Convert to wideband hardware  :)

Fundamentally, this is the reason for the two terms "narrowband" and "wideband".

I thought perhaps there would be a excel sheet somewhere floating with some magic calculations, you never truely know until you ask :)

 Or google
It could be converted to afr but the range is .. narrow

and completely inaccurate, to the point of being basically useless, depending on the particular narrowband setup.
