Is there any program that can scan the damos or a2L files and rename them with a sesnsible name or in any other way sort or rename these files? I use notepad and opens and renames these files one by one.
And this takes a bit of time when you collect all you can find.

Is there any other way to do this that is better and faster than then notpade option?

Strange that there is not made made any software for this if it does not exist.

Because the naming is customer specific.
Not all files have an EPK stored in them, etc. Some newer ECU's have no EPK's anywhere.

A such universal tool can not really be easily made.
I have solved the problem over time, but it is a much bigger job than you can possibly imagine.

If you are doing only VAG, then it is easier of course.

Yea, i dont do programing and understand programing at all. Bu i only see all these fantastic programs people and company makes and just wonder why nobody have made something like this that would make life so much easyer. Or mabye i just saves to much of thise files. It gets scaryer and scaryer to se the unsorted folder of these files.
But as i said, i dont know anything about programing at all.

I made a script which will search all a2l in a folder and create a csv list with the filename + EPK. Its not a perfect solution - but it does the trick to get some order in my a2l collection. I hope that somebody will find it useful.
