Title: Checksum Error / me7sum
Post by: Micha786 on March 11, 2022, 09:12:06 AM
Hey guys,

i just edited my First file. The original file is without Any checksum errors. I edited ESKONF to Remove the rear O2 Sensor. I used me7sum to check first and found 3 Errors. After that I let me7sum correct the file and the result are 6 corrected errors. To be sure I double checked the new file. And found 1 error. After double correction there are no errors left.

Now I am not sure if I should trust my double corrected file…
Is there anyone who had the same weird results?

If u need I can upload the 3 files later.

Thanks

Please upload the files. What version were you using?

I am using "ME7Sum (v1.1.1)", downloaded from the first post (http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=5872.0title=).

The file names should be self-explanatory.

thanks for your support  :)

edit: Is it fine to use double corrected files?

Yes, it should be fine. You should not have to double correct with 1.1.1; this is likely a bug

I should add, yes, you should use the double corrected one. It shouldn't be needed but it is due to a bug which I can't seem to find.

I have found and fixed the bug. Hopefully resolved in 1.1.2

Thank you for the bug report!
