Title: 8D0907551F RS4 Faulty EEPROM? Post by: OberlandRacing on June 04, 2022, 03:11:21 AM I have this spare ecu laying around and it wont connect to Nefmoto Flasher or MPPS Flasher.
I Got this IMMO3 File from the EEPROM. It had also bad CS. Is this a faulty EEPROM File? Im wondering on the "Cant decode VIN" and "Flash Programming 255" part. I Flashed a IMMO2 File and the ECU dont want do connect eather. Is a IMMO2 file working ona ECU like this? Just Bootmode is Possible. Post by: OberlandRacing on June 04, 2022, 04:08:09 AM Atleast thats good to know. That would make sense why the ECU wont Run.
Do you know if a Immo2 eeprom works on a immo3 ECU? Title: Re: 8D0907551F RS4 Faulty EEPROM? Post by: OberlandRacing on June 04, 2022, 04:13:09 AM Just compared the Files from the IMM02 to the IMMO3 and saw that the File was completely wiped....
Shoud have checked this before.. Title: Re: 8D0907551F RS4 Faulty EEPROM? Post by: elektronik13 on June 04, 2022, 04:36:55 AM Just compared the Files from the IMM02 to the IMMO3 and saw that the File was completely wiped.... eeprom is written for a specific flash and should not be changed and maybe that's why you have this problem because someone did itShoud have checked this before.. such changes to the eeprom ecu can damage the ecu Title: Re: 8D0907551F RS4 Faulty EEPROM? Post by: OberlandRacing on June 04, 2022, 04:40:47 AM I tried to write the EEPROM but it stays always empty.
I Think the EEPROM is dead tbh. Someone soldered it of the ECU. Title: Re: 8D0907551F RS4 Faulty EEPROM? I Tried to put a M-Box file on the ECU and it wont take it. Just the Stock RS4 F Files. Is there a Work-around? I would try to put a new EEPROM on it and also would like to Put a M-File on. Post by: OberlandRacing on June 04, 2022, 05:08:49 AM maybe someone has enabled on eeprom write protection I coud try to pull the Write Protect to GND and try again reading. The Seller told me that he desoldered the EEPROM just for swapping it. So i dont think there is a read/Write protection Title: Re: 8D0907551F RS4 Faulty EEPROM? So i dont think there is a read/Write protection if there is no protection on the eeprom then it must have broken the eeprom or you are using a poor quality programmerTitle: Re: 8D0907551F RS4 Faulty EEPROM? Post by: OberlandRacing on June 05, 2022, 10:43:16 AM Im using the ME7EEPROM & eepromtool_04 and on all other ECU´s it worked just fine.

Post by: OberlandRacing on July 01, 2022, 02:35:31 AM So Finally, ECU is back to Life. :D
After 1H Oscillating the Eprom was dead. Now i removed the immo but im not able to flash it to a 551M. Also in Bootmode there is no chance. Im just able to put a F File on it. Is there a Workaround for that? ??? Title: Re: 8D0907551F RS4 Faulty EEPROM? Post by: IamwhoIam on July 01, 2022, 03:40:52 AM Desolder the flash and solder a new one in?
Title: Re: 8D0907551F RS4 Faulty EEPROM? Post by: OberlandRacing on July 01, 2022, 04:16:44 AM I think that’s no problem with the Flash itself.
The CPU won’t take the M File. I don’t know why. Title: Re: 8D0907551F RS4 Faulty EEPROM? Post by: elektronik13 on July 01, 2022, 02:10:15 PM I think that’s no problem with the Flash itself. it can be done without any problem but not with this equipmentThe CPU won’t take the M File.
