Title: making sure original ecu file possible had been swapped. Post by: Audib6 on August 08, 2022, 08:04:25 PM ok so simple enough been with you guys for atleast a year or so done tons and tons of reading cant seem to find if possible to confirm ecu in car was the original. current ecu in car says
Germany 01 RFP 8E0 907 411 car is an 03 audi a4 1.8t quattro manual bought another ecu and just trying to confirm that i have an original file to start to be able to tune and mess around with. is it possible to find from vin? mostly just concerned cuz it says 01 on the ecu in car wanna make sure not playing with non original file. have been searching page by page to try and find the number from ecu in car but wanna be sure thats even the original ecu since it says 01 on it. any help or guidance maybe to be able to confirm or rule its the original or not much appreciated. even simply a link to be able to tell would be fantastic. thanks in advance. =] Title: Re: making sure original ecu file possible had been swapped. A 2003 B6 A4 1.8T ECU. Title: Re: making sure original ecu file possible had been swapped. Post by: grayjay on August 09, 2022, 01:03:38 PM Might be possible that 8e0907411 is the part number for the metal case around the ECU, not specific to the electronics of the ECU itself??
https://www.audiusaparts.com/oem-parts/audi-lower-cover-8e0907411h In any case, as mentioned above the 2003 a4 ecu should be 8E0909518AF . I also have a '03 A4 and this was definitely what it came with. If you read the ECU using nefmoto, it will report the actual ECU number. If you start into tuning of your 8E0909518AF hardware, I would suggest re-flashing it with the 8E0909518AK-0003 .bin (from 2004 A4) which is cross-flashable onto ECU hardware: 8E0909518AF, 8E0909518AK, & 8E0909518BC as found in 2002.5-2005 Audi A4 1.8t with wideband 02 sensor.. The 8E0909518AK-0003 .bin has well developed map definitions available and this was the software version used in the Nefmoto community project: Stage1 1.8t ME7.5 A4 (8E0909518AK-0003) http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=6955.0 Title: Re: making sure original ecu file possible had been swapped.
