Title: Immo off Post by: masterj on June 14, 2012, 02:36:54 AM Hi, guys! :)
Could you please give me short list of bits to change to disable immo completely? (ecu: me7.5) Right now I've changed 01 to 02 in addresses 12 and 22 (and fixed checksums). What else do I have to change? P.S> Car doesn't throw any DTCs but doesn't start with different SW. Right now I am using "virgin" EEPROM to overcome this, but am interested in using my own and learning something... You've done you need to do to over come the Immob, I only ask as I found with some tunes that the Map gets matched to the Eeprom and unless you have the map that was with the eeprom it wont start.

I'm having completely different SW than this EEPROM so I'm asking what to do to force this EEPROM into loading my flash... Or my only option is to continue using virgin EEPROM? Title: Re: Immo off Post by: littco on June 16, 2012, 06:18:59 AM So in answer to my question does your ecu have stock sw on it? Is it as it left the factory or had the ECU prior to you doing this had a pro remap on it.
I ask as if it is completely stick then it should have no problem taking the new SW , no virgin EPROM needed . If its had a remap then it's likely to be locked to the flash, probably a revo flash. Flash isn't remapped by pro tuner. So you're saying that the stock flash bin isn't locked to eeprom? Because I see that EEPROM has some data about flash, like SW version and it's number like 0001 or upgraded 0002, 0003, 0004... Title: Re: Immo off Post by: littco on June 16, 2012, 12:41:23 PM No , I know this as I've put different sw on other ECU's without issue. Ie 032hn onto a 032hs. And 018bh on 018h . The fact you say you can put a virgin EEPROM on and it works def says there is something on the EEPROM locking it to thè flash, I have seen this before but always de immobing the ecu fixes the issue, so I'm not sure why yours isn't working. Just a suggestion but have you tried FF out the vin and Id?

Just a suggestion but have you tried FF out the vin and Id? Well, my flash is stock version... Also maybe you haven't encountered problems because your flash files were very very similar? Also, there's possibility that maybe EEPROMs are different in those two ecus, because I have flashed ME7.5.10 file to ME7.5 ecu :) Title: Re: Immo off Post by: littco on June 16, 2012, 12:49:11 PM Interesting stuff. I've got a couple of me7,5 ecus of different models I'll give it a go.
Title: Re: Immo off Post by: aef on July 14, 2012, 05:34:54 AM Hello,
i am really new into this. I allready did a Me3.8 by desoldering the 24c02, read out, edited with a tool called immokiller and wrote back, soldered it in. Right now i have a tuned 06A906032HN / 0261207440 here and trying to immo off this thing. As i know this is a me7.5 and the immo is stored in the 96050 (8pin backside), right? So i am able to use the ME7_95040 software to read this thing out and write some me 7.5 cleared immo dump.bin (http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=1629.msg16090#msg16090)into it via ME7_95040 and bootmode? thanks for your help! Title: Re: Immo off Post by: littco on July 14, 2012, 06:30:55 AM Yes, bootmode using vagcom
Cable will read the EEPROM, hex editor to change the hex values at 11 and 21 then write it back. Title: Re: Immo off Post by: aef on July 17, 2012, 03:03:44 AM bootmode using vagcom?
maybe you can explain it a little bit more Title: Re: Immo off Post by: littco on July 17, 2012, 03:17:08 AM Sorry i meant you can do all this by putting the ecu into bootmode and using a vagcom cable.
