Please learn how dos command line works, along with directories. Helping you with these basics are beyond the scope of this forum, especially if you refuse to post output of what you've tried (including directory contents of your CWD).

But me7 correction yes.
What?

It's telling you what arguments it expects you to type.

Why have you not shown the output of "dir"

Quote
C:\Users\JM>C:\Users\JM\Documents\me7sum.exe A4B5AWT.bin
....

Attempting to open firmware file 'A4B5AWT.bin'

Can't open 'A4B5AWT.bin'.
Failed to open firmware file 'A4B5AWT.bin'

C:\Users\JM> is your CWD. Where is your bin file?

Again this has nothing to do with Me7sum. You are just randomly typing things now.

Move your bin into the folder where ME7sum is.

Open CMD.
Type "cd c:\users....\me7sum".  Adjust to suit actual directory.  CD is change directory.
Type me7sum "A4B5AWT.bin" "A4B5AWT_out.bin"

Although the above are moaning that you should know DOS inside out, it's an old system that no-one uses and takes a bit of getting use to.  It takes less time for me to type how to do it AND HELP rather than making you chase your tail.

Disagree.

The help vampire is are real thing. In any case, if you do choose to spoon feed, you should be explicit about WHY your solution works, and not just hand them a solution they should follow verbatim.

You did not do so in your help, and if the person asking clearly has no interest in learning WHY, that is never a good thing. There is nothing as toxic as a taker who shows zero curiosity, except for those who enable them.

I just saw that you are the big boss nyet  ::)? you made me7sum.... no? I see nyet writing everywhere. sorry to take your time. I better understand your answer on my post and the use of cmd ....as a noob there is so much to learn and read on this site that we are happy to have a little help and verification. indeed we must also take the time to learning the basics. mechanics seems easier to me but it's the same without the basics we don't understand anything.
thank you very much for your work
