Title: Adjust N428 valve MED17
Post by: tom-k on December 22, 2022, 10:04:24 AM
Hi
I`m looking for adjust low/high oil pressure mode in Damos, but my german it`s poor.
Anyone know where it is?

Tomorrow I'll check and let you know.

From top of my head - there is basic settings/adaptation for letting engine run on full pressure all the time.

Reason for this is, when engine is rebuild with new main/big end bearings, to let full pressure during breakin period.

i know that, but I want adjust RPM switch  between low/high pressure mode

IMHO adjustment of this should be close to idle speed, so you can have max oil pressure as soon as you can.
Thats why I think adaptation is a good solution. Still don't know if this will self reset in 5000km as in first 5000km of the car.

Oil_nEngRiseThresRht_C is the switch-over point - when rpm goes higher than this value it will switch to high oil pressure (3500rpm in stock tune).
Oil_nEngRiseDiff_C is delta value for hysteresis formed by upper value and this delta (usually 200rpm - no need to modify this).

Switchover point could be altered by Oil_nEngRise_MAP which is based on current engine speed and engine speed gradient. So if you floor it below 3500rpm, switchover point could be brought lower.
