Title: Wideband on AWT engine Post by: JeanAwt on December 23, 2022, 01:13:23 AM hello
I am looking for information to switch to wideband on my AWT from 08/2000 ecu 4B0906018R with vvt and DBW I have sensor 1 in front: 058906265C strange it is often sold as a rear sensor?? is it not the right one? and P0030 heating control fault. I read the topics with the addition of 2 wires on pin ecu 52/71 ... could we create a complete noob topic? do I just have to add the 2 wires and change the connector? what are all the changes to make? which probe model should I order for wideband lsu4.9? 5 or 6 wire? I do not have much modification to do I know that my ecu was mounted on a4 a6 2000+ with wideband thank you Title: Re: Wideband on AWT engine Post by: _nameless on December 23, 2022, 06:53:48 AM It's a lsu 4.2 not 4.9. also it will have 6 wires on the ECU side and 5 on the o2 sensor. The 6 wire is for the calibration resistor

The 6 wire is for the calibration resistor thank you I ordered connector 1J0973733, 6 pins LSU 4.2 is there a reference better than the others for the sensor? in bosch I saw 17014 there are all prices... Title: Re: Wideband on AWT engine Post by: JeanAwt on December 23, 2022, 11:28:14 AM strange on a site I saw bosch 0258007351/0258007057 LSU 4.2
for AWT 1.8t 06/2000 to 09/2001 may there were usa wideband versions....??between b5 and b6 or a6 c5 mine is from 08/2000 phase 2 a4 b5 awt station wagon Title: Re: Wideband on AWT engine Post by: Blazius on December 23, 2022, 06:12:33 PM It literally does not matter, the cable length is the main difference. Get Bosch 17014 it will be fine too.
Title: Re: Wideband on AWT engine Post by: JeanAwt on December 24, 2022, 12:41:07 AM Thanks Blazius, I suspected it but I preferred to be sure. I'm thinking of cutting the wires from my old probe, making a harness and just adding the 2 wires to the ecu in ghetto mode to keep my stock connection.
pity lsu 4.9 apparently more reliable and precise. From what I read it is a story of CJ110 eprom for 4.2./ CJ125 4.2/4.9 but this greatly exceeds my noob skills. Title: Re: Wideband on AWT engine Post by: JeanAwt on December 24, 2022, 03:02:06 AM I'm really too stupid I had to look at my job during the night !! I had taken a picture of the rear sensor! I am in original wideband 06B906265D
0258007090 lsu 4.2 P0030 so it no longer heats it coughs cold. I ordered a bosch 17014 but hey it should be fine. sorry for the useless subject. it can be deleted |
