Title: Corrado vr6 24v swap Post by: Jujax on December 29, 2022, 05:48:57 PM Hello, I am desperately looking for information for my first swap.
I have a corrado vr6 24v AYL engine. apparently I have to install an BDE Ecu because the speed signal is not in the right place on mine. Is it possible to modify my ECU? I saw this thread: http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=19663.0 Title: Re: Corrado vr6 24v swap Post by: Jujax on December 30, 2022, 04:00:45 AM (https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw/AL9nZEUOKlZU7PGY9RARzRPrVOs6QRbGLx9NdfS8qRTz4G8ZQavj46CUZjqgokYOZCfv9R-10PrN38YqhVb8rle-RjulKT1g1WaCm2873yTTuGJC-CDFH4B48cLgjPMYB9rPdvMNQllsTFszwKZCtP6v4-tDYA=w1292-h970-no?authuser=1)

Hello, is it possible to have this Bin file ? it seems that this can solve my problem, thanks ;) Title: Re: Corrado vr6 24v swap Post by: _nameless on January 01, 2023, 07:29:58 PM Hello, I am desperately looking for information for my first swap. Well your ecu is me7.1 and bde is me7.1.1 so cross flashing will brick your ecu and if you think plugging a bde ecu in and all will be fine you're sadly mistaken. Why do you THINK you need a different file or ecu? Anything you need can be modified on your stock ecu, I would start with the immobilizer and get the car running first and all else can be done after that. You are not getting any answers because your questions(?) and assumptions(?) make ZERO sense and you are very mistaken with your current info... I have a corrado vr6 24v AYL engine. apparently I have to install an BDE Ecu because the speed signal is not in the right place on mine. Is it possible to modify my ECU? I saw this thread: http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=19663.0 Title: Re: Corrado vr6 24v swap Post by: _nameless on January 01, 2023, 07:35:40 PM Also, if you really want a bde file so bad try typing bde into the search bar and take your pick... Ill be honest I'm not that nice to noobs who choose not to follow forum edict and expect handouts. However, I have a soft spot for vr6 projects and Figured Id give you the rundown and not the cold shoulder. Consider yourself lucky...
Title: Re: Corrado vr6 24v swap Post by: Jujax on January 02, 2023, 03:58:34 AM Thank you very much for your answer, in fact I am totally lost in front of the information that I could find.
Also, sorry for not having followed the rules, it is not voluntary, my English isn't really good. I couldn't find anyone to answer my questions on my side, so I'm trying to find the info online. The car is currently runnig, an immo off has been done and the SAI has been removed. The problem is in the video above, the engine runs rough and the intake pump runs backwards. According to the info given to me, the engine works like this because it missing a speed signal which is in the original ABS harness. So is it possible to solve this problem thanks to the ECU or is it simply a problem with the harness ? Thanks again for your time. Title: Re: Corrado vr6 24v swap Post by: _nameless on January 02, 2023, 07:04:55 AM What is in the video is intake runner flaps and a vacuum actuator and it appears to be working fine I'm not too sure what you are referring to by intake pump? Post a scan of vcds showing fault codes, post the original file from the car. Also it sounds like a intake manifold leak by the way the car is running so you may want to smale test the intake manifold
Title: Re: Corrado vr6 24v swap Post by: Jujax on January 02, 2023, 06:03:41 PM Yes i was talking about the intake runner flaps and a vacuum actuator.
here is the scan test : (https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/800x600q90/922/HYahSL.jpg) and the modified file actually in the car : https://rapidshare.io/2hMv/Swiftec_(VW_Sharan__CORRADO_RONIN_catoff_p1432-33-1636-49-50_SW_1037360628).zip (https://rapidshare.io/2hMv/Swiftec_(VW_Sharan__CORRADO_RONIN_catoff_p1432-33-1636-49-50_SW_1037360628).zip) Title: Re: Corrado vr6 24v swap Post by: VagDoc on January 02, 2023, 11:37:54 PM VSS signal missing is not going to make the intake plunger operation change or make the vehicle run rough.
For the VSS you should fix it properly by using the VSS Signal from the sensor to the cluster and then the Signal out from the cluster to the ecu. You can hear a slight hiss upon startup in your youtube video. I would check the vacuum hoses and make sure you have them hooked up to the correct valve under the intake manifold, maybe even the bolts that attach the manifold to the cylinder head.. The fault you have is for the N80/purge valve being missing. Title: Re: Corrado vr6 24v swap Post by: _nameless on January 03, 2023, 07:33:00 AM Swifttec what a joke. That the majority of your problems.
