Can I yust switch eeproms? I already put S8 cluster and did immo off. But I want to adapt millage and turn off immo light. Post by: marantzvieta on February 17, 2023, 02:37:23 AM I have been able to read and write eeproms from a ton of VAG clusters with VagTacho cable, no soldering or dissasembly from the car either, all through obd port. This cable with its program also changes mileage with ease. I've done it myself.
As per the speedo difference, I did switch from the new style cluster gauges (that goes from 0-100 in 10km/h increments and from 100 to 260 in 20km/h increments) to the old one (that goes all the way from 0 to 260km/h in 20km/h increments). So all speeds across the cluster were very wrong. If you wish to reprogram it to have the correct speeds I can show you how. Kind regards, It is 24c16. Someone already solder it. It doesent mather if speedo wont be 100% (difference in scale 280 and 300 kmh) the new cluster is crypted so you can't just switch epproms....and even change mileage - maybe search for antoher cluster from 2000-2001 - only the ones from late 2001 are crypted |
