Title: Help a newb Post by: ratherb1 on June 24, 2012, 07:18:18 AM Anyone have a step by step for pulling your ecu .bin file I'm trying to use me7 logger to log my car ......im pretty stupid when-it comes to this stuff so if anyone has a "do this ,push this button "how to pull your own .bin file that would be great

We all started from scratch one time or another. If he breaks it he has only himself to blame, if he makes it, well, then we have a new learner in the community :)
ratherb1: If you dont have galetto you should get it before trying to mess around with the ecu. It will save you if you mess it up :) Search ebay for galetto, and you will find some of them are very affordable. With this cable you can also extract the .bin from the ecu using the galetto software by putting the ecu in bootmode. I know bootmode sounds scary, but when you try it you will find out it is pretty easy :) If you search the forum you will find numerous threads explaining how to go forth extracting the info you need from the ecu.
