The limiting factor on these engines are the springs not the sodium filled valves. I'm not saying its safe, just that it doesn't necessarily explode. Im running 2.8 heads and cams, 2.7 exhaust springs and valves.

so its all about springs not the valves to gain more rpms no matter sodium filled valves or stainless steel valves i have to get more strengt springs like Ferrara Springs kit to privent valve float from happning, actually the stock rev was set to 6800 from the factory, the ecu is aa-box flashed to m-box so i want to set it to 7200 is it ok also the NA heads like 2.8 or 2.4 came with stainless steel valves are the springs from these heads are any stronger then 2.7 stock springs Title: Re: safe rev limter for audi s4 2.7t Post by: prj on February 13, 2023, 03:36:10 PM Fit aftermarket springs or don't exceed 7200, end of story.
