Title: How to get rich and more boost??? Post by: quattrotr on June 28, 2012, 12:08:16 PM Attached are ORG & TUN file that came with my car S3 1.8t APY engine. I fitted AEM wideband and boost gauge. What I saw is that on upper RPM levels AFR begins to get lean and boost drobs. Such as: AFR is at 12.5-13 at 3000-3500rpm and goes higher to 16 at 6500rpm. Boost gets peak to 1.45 bar and then drops to 0.85-0.9 bar at 6000rpm.
Will decreasing lambda map in upper rpm's be enough to get more fuel on this narrow band lambda? What else do I have to change? Title: Re: How to get rich and more boost??? Post by: TheDSI on June 28, 2012, 12:45:10 PM maybe you have a bad MAF sensor .

Title: Re: How to get rich and more boost??? Post by: nyet on June 28, 2012, 02:15:40 PM also pressure test.
Make sure you don't have a post maf intake leak. Title: Re: How to get rich and more boost??? Post by: littco on June 28, 2012, 02:17:46 PM Is your fpr working ok? Vac leak maybe. That'll cause the car to lean out. here's your lambda map as well, it's stock and really should have been changed.. I just had a look over the map and all the "tuner" has done is raise the last 3 rows of kmirl a bit and put in a very high LDRXN for a K04 anyway... That is it. 2 maps changed. Title: Re: How to get rich and more boost??? Post by: quattrotr on June 28, 2012, 03:18:27 PM I will check FPR and DV too. 1.4-1.5 bar are boost levels that K04-020 series can handle I guess. Will decreasing LAMFA map for 100% TP decrease the lean level? How much should I decrease it as %?

Don't use %, you should use the value that you want in lambda, if you want 0.85, use this value, LAMFA map speaking Title: Re: How to get rich and more boost??? Post by: quattrotr on June 29, 2012, 11:18:31 AM Thank you guys I will check all these stuff and decrease LAMFA too and observe the AFR pattern.

do a log of boost pressure vs vs MAF reading and post it here . Title: Re: How to get rich and more boost???
