in my most recent engine swap i did i put a 1.8T from a B6 A4 into a 1982 audi 4000s. i used the throttle pedal from an MK5 2.5 jetta automatic on a custom made bracket that mounts to the original pedal stop on the floor. the throttle is very very touchy which leads to this jerking when pulling out/driving sometimes which is very annoying. was wondering if there is any mapping that can be adjusted to actually take response away from the throttle pedal?

VSS signal to ecu happy?
It won't cause a touchy throttle, but it will cause jerkiness and other symptoms.

KFWDKPP and KFPED. More so the later but both will have an affect.

Most likely his VSS is fucked.
But ofc zero logs, waste of time.

Has VSS signal. using original audi VR sensor on the back of the cluster and than running that through SIRHC labs V2 speed sensor adapter to give the motronic the hall sensor signal it needs. may not be accurate for the actual wheel speed but it does know if its moving or not. i do know the VSS is functional as well because ECU is patched with wheel speed based launch control and it deactivates when the wheels start rolling. havnt had time to data log it. i will when i get a moment.

on another note i did do a quick test by installing a throttle pedal from an MK5 GTI that was a manual transmission car and it drove identical to the 2.5 5 cylinder automatic pedal.

so you fed vss signal and made no changes in calculation of speed and calculation of gear?

I have no vss signal fed to ecu and throttle is smooth af.

i think it depends on what pedal you are using. my pedal comes from an MK5 VW so my pedal is essentially a newer design than what my ECU is. yes, i just gave it a VSS signal. changed nothing else pertaining to VSS or any of the stock pedal mapping.
