Title: 2000 Aum Help Post by: lolsky on August 18, 2023, 10:36:34 AM Ok im new to this ecu stuff in some sense i have a golf gti 2000 aum its been remapped i dont know by who im prob the 5th owner i know its me7.5 . i have a cable kkl with the ftdi chip i can read it on vcds - i think the immo is off to as i can read the intrement cluster and change the millage using vag k can commander using the kline (tested) i want to do a back up of the ecu flash just in case and learn from stuff from there. im worried i will brick the ecu from low voltage any help please :)

If it’s done by someone who knows what they are doing they have likely moved all the maps around or tied the flash to the eeprom. If they didn’t bother to protect their work the tune is probably trash anyways. Drive what you have or flash to stock, read the wiki and learn.
