Title: Switching from Eurodyne Maestro
Post by: JunkB5 on August 28, 2023, 06:34:19 PM
So I am considering switching from Maestro, but being that I spend the $800 on it, id like to have the option to use in the future if needed, or maybe even sell it with my ecu later on if I like nefmoto. Should I get a spare ecu and start fresh with that for using nefmoto, or would I be able to go back to maestro at any point?

I mean the base files that come with it are complete shit so personally I wouldn't worry about the  nonsense files they supply l.I'm assuming you're running one of the base files that come with it. Anyway, you can backup the file by reading it out in bootmode, though I wouldn't bother.

It’s a custom file that I’ve built over the last year, I have it saved and can flash it/edit currently, I’m just worried with there weird licensing to the ecu/cable that if I flash it with something else I’d have to pay to switch back to my current file if needed.

If you backup the EEPROM and the FLASH in bootmode, then you can always restore the ECU to exactly the same condition as it is now and continue.
