Title: ME7.5 WOT throttle intervention
Post by: JeromeM on September 05, 2023, 09:22:25 AM
Hello everybody,

I got an issue with a tune on Golf 4 GTI ref 032HJ.

Here car setup:
-Turbo F21
- injector 630cc EV14
- decat
- fuel pump high flow
- ramair air filter
- DV oem
- n75 oem and new
- intake 3"
- SAI, EVAP and n249 off and removed
- Rear 02 removed and off
- all hoses new
- MAF 255 linearized in the tune file

The issues

Car is doing throttle intervention at WOT near 4500/5000 rpm. after this, we have no boost anymore.
Throttle is max at 32%. N75 dc 100%, boost actual follow requested at 0.6 bar (1.3 bar when no intervention).
load fall at 86% instead of 160-180% requested.

I disabled torque monitoring for level 1.

I made some log with vcds and ME7L. All seems good on it but I don't understand this throttle intervention.
At partial load, no problem but only if pedal is < 30%.
Oil vapor system is free and no pluged on the intake like oem.
Same issue

here my logs
tune file only by PM

Fix IRL and IOP map.
Turn back on torque intervention, nobreason to turn it off

I have tweaked iop and irl to try but no success. Already try to back torque monitoring. No issue with dtc but still have issue.

I disabled them to be more safe

log requested boost vs actual boost, throttle plate angle vs accelerator pedal angle. Sounds like an overboost issue when boost is about 0,3b higher than requested.
hbn looks good, capping load at 210. Also would bet fucked irl and iop

hi !

Here the last mod with torque monitoring disabled.
No dtc and no intervention so IRL / IOP are well tuned.

We can see actual pressure drop.
I see overboost is more than 0.3bar. I will tweak it too get max 0.1 0.15 bar of difference

I reduce boost with KFLDRL at 0.7bar but same issue. throttle cut at 5000 rpm

Pressure drop below atmospheric
Damn just use the logic

Put camera under hood and see what is happening  ;D

Can you breathe when someone shut your mouth?

I guess you think the issue is about hardware. I will check and back to tell you if I see something  ;)

It would help if you can provide a full log with relevant vars.
There are cases where the intake collapses so the maf reading will stop and it feels like throttle plate closing.
not sure if you have checked this because of the limited logfile you provided.

Hi,

Here some update. Issue was because intake was collaps :) now solve
