I have a BMW that is tuned by a 3rd party. I want to figure out how to dump the map (or sniff the map download to the ECU) to reverse engineer their calibrations. Do you think this is possible? I was trying to do this by sniffing the raw data transferred over CAN during the programming session. I'll try to figure out the tools you listed above! There is no documentation, the ECU's are RSA protected.Whole reading and writing is possible because someone found a security hole and made an exploit to abuse it. The chance of you making your own tools if you need to even ask about this is 0. |
