Title: Audi s6 c5 manuall swap.
Post by: adis1234 on September 17, 2023, 03:05:01 AM
hi hello, I have bought the Audi S6 C5 manual swapped and the map on the car is really bad. it's extremely jerky to drive extremely sensitive throttle on a standstill which makes it really difficult to drive around town it revs a lot with less than 10% input and then it has a horrendously bad pop and bang map and heel and toe does not work when pressing the clutch the gas gets disconnected. need some help with the map or if someone has a true manual file ready to go would be appreciated and heres my file that i read from my car.

This is an auto file, you need to flash a manual file.
Also you read it as 1mb, but it's 512k.

Here's the correct file.

Sounds like all that was done was just the DTC's killed.

If that is the case you have to:
1. Flash the file.
2. Wire in the clutch pedal switch according to the wiring diagram for the manual car. Sounds like it's wired incorrectly. You can check that easily with VCDS, if it's reacting to pressing the clutch or not.
3. Disconnect the TCU that's dangling somewhere still (on LHD car it's in passenger footwell under the carpet), this will also remove the PRND321 from the dash.
4. At this point most likely the ABS is going to light up like a christmas tree. The auto one can't be recoded to manual, you need to buy a S6 manual or Passat W8 manual ABS, swap it and code it.
5. If the swapped gearbox does not have the same gear ratios as the regular S6 manual gearbox, you might need to adjust NVQUOT parameters in the file based on logs (or pay someone to do it), otherwise gears might be detected incorrectly and the cruise control will disengage at random or not work in 6th gear.

Good luck.

hi

Can someone help me with my file?
I have an Audi S6 C5 that I converted to a diesel 6-speed manual transmission.
I can't find a suitable file for it anywhere.
Additionally, I have sai Off and a built-in LPG system.
I tried the file from above, but then my brake control unit couldn't be coded.

You need an attention span longer than 2 seconds if you want to complete this.
The instructions specifically say that the ABS can not be coded to manual and you need to buy a manual ABS.

So why are you surprised?

And where can I find the instructions that say this?

@eg4 I want to give you an update and prevent others from making the same mistake in the future.

The information in the thread is incorrect. You do not have to replace the ABS control unit. You simply need to log in with the encoding you want to encode later. Worked for me today, so I didn't have to replace the control unit.

I hope you'll be a bit more careful with your statements in the future, as you can easily write something wrong and cause a lot of work for other people.
