Title: MED17.1 with MPPS 18, Safe to write in boot mode? So much misinformation..
Post by: royce5950 on January 07, 2024, 04:24:19 PM
Had someone come over last night with 2012 Audi A3 2.0 TFSI.. He has an MED17.1 ECU (p/n 8P0 907 115 BC or without spaces: 8P0907115BC) I read the ECU in boot mode using MPPS 18 clone (probably chinese clone). Is TPROT something you only need to worry about if attempting to write via OBD? I already found the password and saved the password file to enable read / write.. so I should be ok to write the flash memory now in boot mode right? or is TPROT going to be an issue?

thank you

I can't believe you're selling for profit and need to ask these questions. Smdh
