Title: To high EGT caued by too much fuel or small A/R on turbo?
Post by: BlackT on March 31, 2024, 01:06:54 PM
I have tuned two cars
1.8T and BMW 2.8T
Both have a really high EGT, both have small turbos. And Lambda below around or below 0.68 under full boost

Exhaust manifold gets red hot really fast, yust one pull form second to 4 th gear is enought

Can a unburned fuel make that, or small A/R on turbo is problem?

Timing is good, around 20° under full load,  no retard

It is normal for the manifold to glow under load.  0.68 is too rich and most engines will missfire, so I'm not convinced it is correct.

It is high because I used my own hand as a log.
