Title: maximum injection time and optimal injection time at 6800 rpm in relation to eng
Post by: pinokio1979 on June 25, 2024, 03:50:16 PM
For example, the 1.8t AUM engine operates with an injection time close to the maximum at 6800 rpm and we only increase the size of the fuel injectors, e.g. by 40% and the injection time drops to 10 m/s at 6800 rpm, will this provide any additional possibilities? ? ? e.g.: .: possibility of greater ignition advance? ew maintaining higher boost? better performance? or maybe it is of marginal importance? it is important not to create loops.

We did testing on another platform for MPI - had hands on Injector Dynamic few offers - and power wise there was no noticeable difference between injector sets with 50% flow difference. There was downside with bigger injectors around flow mismatch on low power area - but that was minor. Where SOI-EOI window reserve may have value with bigger flow is to avoid lean run on power spike peaks - but that is rare case to happen(money shift thingy ad similar)

SOI EOI makes 0 difference on MPI system at WOT.
In fact, even sequential injection makes 0 difference, you could even have mono injection.

DI is a different story, but for MPI, as long as injector is big enough, it will not change anything.

SOI-EOI makes difference for lower CC followed by lean run if unlucky or ecu too slow. For power band - yes MPI has no impact there unless mentioned previously.
