You have to desolder the eprom and read it with eprom reader/programmer. Perhaps even a tutorial video on how to do this? Desoldering is not exactly the problem, but it would be great to know where, how and what to do after. Also i found this: http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=20849.msg167331#new If you look into the zip file he linked, its the same engine, same car just as a automatic and he has a bin file! Did he also desolder the eprom for this or is there actually another way? Title: Re: read bin file from motronic m2.9 Post by: daniel2345 on October 05, 2024, 05:34:58 AM Probably. In those ecus there is mostly no protocol implemented to read anything from the rom.
And the Eproms are mostly one time programmable, so you have to desolder anyway to make changes. Google 27C1024 datasheet. You might get lucky when searching online for VR6 Stuff, since it is a similar ecu family... But i doubt for 1.8l Good luck Title: Re: read bin file from motronic m2.9 Post by: _nameless on October 06, 2024, 04:34:06 PM Probably.
