Title: Help to disable N231 DTC in MKIV 3.2 SWAP Post by: ibanezgomez on January 08, 2025, 07:26:40 AM Hi everyone, I have recently SWAPped my Golf IV 2.8 4Motion and put a 3.2 engine from an Audi TT MK1 BHE automatic into my Golf IV 2.8 4Motion.
I have fitted the original engine and made the conversion to my manual gearbox. When I started the car I saw that I had problems with the ABS as it is different in a manual and an automatic car, so I put the eeprom from the ECU of a manual Audi TT MK1 BHE (022906032FA) in my ECU. Now I have communication with the ABS and the car feels fine. I still have one problem to solve, the Audi TT MK1 BHE has an exhaust flap valve or N231 and I have a DTC because my Golf IV 2.8 does not have this type of sport exhaust originally. This is causing me to get a fault light on the dashboard. I'm looking for information in the forum about how to disable this DTC but I can't find the solution, I've seen this post (https://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=3899.0) that talks about the same problem in a R32 with ECU, but the memory addresses are not the same (I've checked with WinOLS). This is valid for 022906032CN (VW Golf IV R32 Manual): 10A48 BC--->BF, but not valid for 022906032FA (Audi TT MK1 3.2 Manual) I atthach you my current bin 022906032FA, the Golf IV R32 Manual bin and the and the definition i am trying to use. I would like to understand and share how to find this things in the bin. Greetings, Samuel Title: Re: Help to disable N231 DTC in MKIV 3.2 SWAP Post by: Beima on January 08, 2025, 07:52:38 AM Hi! Cool, for you. I also recently changed the 2.8 on my Volkswagen Bora. Instead of BDE I installed the BUB. I disconnected the rear lambda valves. There are still problems with the camshafts. In the future I plan to change the phase shifters from the BDE(g163/g40). there are also errors on n231. After I installed DQ250(3.6 awd), there were even more problems)
