Title: 06A906032DE AUQ unable to read MPPS Post by: Dylhen on January 20, 2025, 10:57:33 AM Hello Everyone,
To clarify, i have tuned an other 1.8T AUQ (this was an 032MJ) later model succesfully with MPPS. Also tuned multiple SIEMENS EMS2K for Mini R53 with MPPS no problem. So i know software and cable are okay. With a couple of friends we have bought an early 2000 Seat Leon 1.8T AUQ 180 and thought this would be an easy and simple tune due to it being ME7.5 and having it done before :) However, MPPS won't even give simple ECU ID info when selecting ME7.5 k-line... It does give some ECU ID info but not sw and hw number of the ECU in M5.92 k-line via MPPS. This i found very very strange Luckily Nefmoto flasher gave me sw and hw number, so these are; 06A906032DE ECU Hardware number: 0261206866 ECU Software number: 1037360165 The problem is that MPPS doesn't recognize the 032DE ECU as ME7.5, so i cant read via OBD, unless there is some workaround. This is weird because the 032DE should be readable via MPPS via OBD. I am a bit at a loss, and unsoldering chips is a no go for me because i'm not skilled enough. Would swapping the 032DE ECU into 032MJ car and try reading it via MPPS a good next step? Otherwise i would need to figure out why Nefmoto flasher does not let me even click ''full read flash'' At this moment i can only write via MPPS M5.92 when applying 12V to obd pin .., but i find this to much of a risk as i would rather modify the file that i read from the ECU Thanks in advance for the help! P.S. i hope this topic is created in the right section of this forum xD Title: Re: 06A906032DE AUQ unable to read MPPS Post by: Dylhen on January 20, 2025, 11:53:37 AM Wellll it's solved.
The problem was with the aftermarket headunit giving +12V on the k-line. Unplugging the headunit resolved the issue and i was able to read via MPPS. Hope this helps someone with the same issue!
