Title: Camshafts CDL on AXX, kfnwse Post by: klitshko on February 09, 2025, 12:47:59 AM hello everyone, I am with med9.1 on my golf 5 gti with AXX engine, I changed my camshafts with golf 6r camshafts.
I know that the cam lift parameters need to be modified in the ecu. I went through a tuner in France to modify the parameters, but I had to finish half of his work because he had forgotten the 5x5 size maps (KFNWWLLE, KFNWLLE, KFNWKHLLKE, KFNWKHLLE), he used stagex2.0, and these maps are not listed there. I realized his error by using a damos with winols, and the FR MED9.1. Following the tuner's error, I allow myself to doubt its work, and I would like to know if for the modification of the 16x12 size maps (KFNWSE, KFNWWLE, KFNWKRE, KFNWKHKE and KFNWKHE) the original values of these maps of the golf 6r must be used, or if the values of the golf 6r must be used as a basis and must then be adjusted? because the tuner used modified golf 6r values and not original ones. my ecu is already in stage 1, but I bought the vehicle already reprogrammed, and the files come from a files service.. subsequently I would like to redo a file by myself but I would first like to be sure of the adaptation of the camshafts in the ecu.. thank you to those who agree to help me Sorry for my poor English I use a translator, and regarding my knowledge of med9.1 I am a beginner who learns with the time I have by browsing the forums and taking notes of information. and also, sorry for my very late presentation.... KFNW* maps depends on your setup - Turbo, intake parts, compression ratio if im not mistaken. Its helping to get required load as quick as possible.
CDL intake cam has bigger lobe for HPFP, so you need adjust: KLNEHDP KFTAMSV SKHDPMX Dont know if its all you need. Hopefully this helps a little. because the kfnw maps are well modified.. thank you for your information I will look at the maps that you mentioned to me. for parts I have a K03 hybrid, downpipe 200 cell catalyst in 76mm in addition to the CDL camshafts and the golf 6r high pressure pump Title: Re: Camshafts CDL on AXX, kfnwse Post by: Dande on February 09, 2025, 12:40:22 PM Yes, I was looking at that file. Only the log will tell if it is well calibrated.

I put the kfnwse values back to the original 6r values under the advice of someone I'm talking to. I will share the measurements with you
Title: Re: Camshafts CDL on AXX, kfnwse Post by: Dande on February 10, 2025, 10:08:44 AM I think kfnw* maps arent important after cam change like different turbo. Cam adjustment helps to spool turbo. There is enought info about it on this forum. Best way is set all these maps to 28 and start new calib from scratch. At first maps around turbo like kfldimx kfldr and other pid maps must be well calibrated. Your req load must equal your act load.
