Title: REMOVE REVO STAGE 2 ON ECU: ME7.5 / 06A 906 0 32 PL
Post by: BlueRabbitGTI on March 22, 2025, 06:41:09 PM
Hello!

Problem: I want to completely remove REVO Stage 2 but I believe REVO protects it's code by disabling conventional OBD2 serial flash and also alters the EEprom.

Stock ECU Map File: I found file "VW Golf,Jetta NA MY2003 1.8T 06A906032PL S0003.bin" on this website.

Tools Required: NefMoto ver. 1.9.4.3 & ME7Check 160512 ver. 1.12.

Procedure/Steps to Completely Remove REVO Stage 2: If I'm understanding the information I have read properly, reflashing will need to be done on a bench in boot mode because of the REVO protection. Can someone please explain step by step what steps and any other tools required to completely remove REVO Stage 2. I am hoping it can be done via OBD2 using NefMoto.

Thank you!

You just need to reflash the eeprom and flash. You can use any tools the can do a complete write. The easiest would be ktag unless you have a bench flash setup already. If you do all versions of mpps later than the ones 12/13 will flash the eeprom too. If you want to jump thru a bunch of hoops you can use the free tools on this site, some do not have a gui and you will need to run them in  cmd or py. You will need to turn off the immobilizer or pair the immo after flashing the eeprom otherwise the car won't start

Thank you _nameless. Much appreciated!

I was hoping to use the tools available on this site to completely remove REVO Stage 2. Fairly comfortable with CMD but don't know anything about PY.

If possible could you please kindly provide a brief step by step using the tools available on this site to achieve the desired outcome?

No sorry. Its all covered here on the forum. Plenty of youtube videos, threads, and facebook groups that have covered these topics countless times. If you spend 30 seconds on google you can answer all your own questions.

just flash it with stock file
iirc eeprom would be fine with it

Thanks fknbrkn.

So flashing with stock mapping file the EEPROM should be fine. But, if it's not then will have to adapt EEPROM using the ross-tech new ECU process correct?

Ultimately I want to revert ECU and EEPROM back to stock without any trace of REVO.

Had many times here...  APR and Revo

Some cases, just OBD flash will do it, some cases OBD will brick and you´ll have to bootmode...

and in just one case had to write eeprom to back it alive again, in this case immo-off and keep it going
