Hello,

As per the topic, I bought an S3 ecu to try and read to see how a tuner tuned for big turbo and certain brand of injectors (and possibly whether they used the 5120 hack or if they underscaled values)

anyway, I tried to remove the NOREAD tags and compared the file by reading with HxD and comparing to an ori file I have from a CDL ecu which has the same layout of the file - it looks to be exactly the same layout but with different values but I don't know what an encryption would actually look like or whether you have to look through the eeprom for it or view the full read or if it's just hidden in plain sight within the flash file.

I've had a degree of success mapping the car so far but I can't just immo off the ecu and put it in the car as I've got an 8E A4 and the ecu is from an 8P so it just turns on the fan at full wack! ( I tried doing that probably around a year ago)

P.S I dont particularly want spoon feeding but if somebody would kindly decrypt it so I can actually open and read it in winols I'd appreciate or tell me what the encryption looks like to remove it!

I managed to find the ori file so I tried deleting any signatures with hidden no read's like evc.evc but still wouldn't open in winols 5

Just delete this shit file, not worth to compare anything from this "stage 3" file. Nothing makes sense in this file, beginning from filling, diameter from hpfp, injection angles, knock control, lambda, etc. Everything is messed up.

It's encrypted with noread signatures, I've managed to get it decrypted now
