Title: Volvo SID807EVO OBD Bench read without opening project Post by: oscilloscope on July 14, 2025, 02:23:33 PM I am in the process of attempting to learn how to perform a very hard, if not impossible task which is attempting clone a Volvo SID807EVO, so far I have only ever seen that VF2 flasher can perform a read & write of these ECU's over OBD , but its quite expensive device, so id like to workout how to do this task done, pretty cheaply by using a teensy or some sort of Arduino based tool with an appropriate CAN transceiver. so far I have a number of these ECU's from various years from 2012 - 2014, encase I damage one I can fall back on another one.
I would like to know where the best point to start with should i... obtain a complete can traffic read using DICE / Vida ( somehow) obtain a complete read VIA boot for testing purposes of course and attempt to reverse engineer the dump in ID PRO ? ( if its even possible) some direction would be great or better yet a heads up if someone has already started similar task but hasn't finished, or could point me in the right direction... also I'm not using to make money or its a job of any kind its just for funzies to learn a little bit more! thanks |
