Title: ME7_EEPROM v1.40 OK to read APR tuned ECU?
Post by: f1torrents on August 12, 2012, 03:59:06 PM
Hey guys.
I was referred to this software by a fellow user.
I have been looking though the options and this looks like the ticket to get my SKC.
I know reading APR flash memory can cause a no start issue.

-Is it OK to read the EEPROM with a APR flash? And everything will be OK?
-Is there a hidden option "--SKC" that will give me the SKC or do I have to flip the hex bits manually?

Thanks guys.

I went ahead and scanned the EEPROM.
It IS ok to scan a APR tuned ECU if anyone is interested for future reference.

I have an apr tuned ecu and when I try to read it says security blah, blah, blah yours didn't? How did you get around it?

Did you try to read the immo, or the entire ecu? I think f1torrents only grabbed the immo off the ecu...

Yes I was just reading the IMMO off the 95040 EEPROM.
NOT the flashrom.
