I have read that it didn't always work out and a manual rom file sorted it out. In New Zealand the 6spd Quattro is so rare even a manual transmission in front wheel drive. I managed to source a front wheel drive gearbox but I believe the Quattro abs is hard coded and carnt be changed to front wheel drive is that correct? For some reason the abs pump won't let me recode to tell the car it's manual. Does anyone have a manual rom file for a 2004 A6 C5 front wheel drive. I believe these do exist in the states. I would be very grateful
