Title: AHOY! I'm Daz in Oakland CA Post by: DazDiablo on February 18, 2026, 12:54:02 PM Hello to all. Stoked I found this forum. I'm a metal fabricator and semi mechanic, never finished tech school cuz literal Klan shit in Kentucky made me decide to quit and leave. I know nothing about tuning but I have a friend who does and I'm hoping between this forum and his know how I'll be able to pick it up in no time. I have a B6 A4 1.8t Q. The goal is a stroker 2.0, a bigger turbo and somewhere in the 500 horsepork ball park. I have had 2 chassis and between all the ammassment of parts I have 1 dismantled motor. 1 with a blown head gasket that I need to inspect the head on and one that's getting lightly done up for a K04 with big green bosch injectors and the vr6 maf I have in right now for my ghetto broke boy setup. Ideally in 2-3 years I have a whole other b6 chassis to strip, gut, cage and build out with the dream stroker motor for track days. If anybody in the bay needs a hand with welding stuff or just wants to grab a beer and exchange brain pickings I'll be here till september. Once I finish machining school I'm off to PDX. Thanks to the founding members of this forum and the ppl who made the tuning software and all the dudes that have built base tunes for noobs like me to get started with. Y'all are legends.
Much love, Daz Title: Re: AHOY! I'm Daz in Oakland CA Post by: _nameless on February 21, 2026, 11:02:35 PM Whats up man? The alias "DAZ" strikes some cords here, another forum used a similar user name, he was one of the best tuners in the industry in the land of the free and passed away too young. Anyway, just had to say something about, your user name got me. If you havent yet do not buy those green giant injectors, they are trash and over priced. Most of the ones you find are from bingbong land. Real sets sell for $360+ USD. Grab a set of ev14 550s or 630s they are about 200 or less for a legit set of 4, are more modern, linear, and have a better spray pattern. Good luck with your tuning journey.
