take ecu out its probably a msa 15 ecu with 2 plcc32 chips need to be soldered,
i have got chips for this if needed.

hi,

It is EDC15, not MSA15.
And oft people say that EDC15 is problem to read,  many people say that the fuse from the instrument cluster to remove to connect, and many say take it out and connect to the pins and it goes.
have any one hear the same problems.  and how does bootloader work on EDC15.

you can bench edc15 with no errors no problem, try take fuse out (instrument cluster fuse)  i think its number 11
or definitely bench flash will work via kess v2 i done before., kess v2 is not great on the older edc15 me7.5  mpps does these fine.

Yes it think also that kess does not go really good on these old ecuĀ“s. i think that is not great that the K-TAG can not do the edc15 via bootloader.

Quite sure that ECU has 2xPLCC32.
Open, desolder, socket, etc.
The first EDC15 also had 2xPLCC32, not only MSA15 IIRC.

till 2000/2001 you will find PLCC32 so your skoda for sure has PLCC inside.
