Title: MED9.1 Reverting to stock / Flash downloaded ORI vs manually restoring
Post by: ost_ on July 13, 2026, 10:40:17 AM
Hi everyone,

I'm a NOOB when it comes to ECU editing and I need some advice from more experienced users on how to safely revert a Bosch MED9.1 ECU (VR6 engine) back to stock. (03H906032AB_1086 / SW: 1037387767 / HW: 0261S02349)

Car has very rich idle (both lambdas around -25%, specified & actual pressure on rail gradually decreases to 20bar as the temperature increases) with no fault codes at all.

My current file is an OBD read using Kessv2, I managed to get a supposedly original file. Both files have the exact same size and mostly match, but looking at the differences leaves me with some doubts.

My main question is: Is it safer to flash the downloaded original file directly via OBD (Kessv2), or should I manually restore the stock values in my OBD read by only modifying the map areas?

Im attaching raport below with differences between mine an ori software.

Thanks in advance for any help, tips and advices.
