Title: similarity between definition files..
Post by: Stompen on September 05, 2012, 12:23:08 AM
Can I use "any" ***909518  .xdf when I have a 8E0909518? Or are there huge differences between the different ecu`s? For example, can I use a 8N0909518 .xdf?

I also found that a 8E0906018 is similar to my ecu, and are now driving around with that ecu in my car. Are they close enough that I can use a 909518 .xdf to find maps on a 906018?

Also, I made a .ecu file from me7logger and tried logging in nefmoto, but there are to many things I cant log (or more precise, too few things I can log)...

In answer no, they are different. However use something like mtx's map analyser to overlay the maps and then change the map address's in tuner pro
