Title: Help with boost tuning Post by: hipeka on September 14, 2012, 01:44:38 AM Hi
I have tried adjust Pid values for my tune to get max. boost level at 1,35bar but no luck so far. Every wot run at third gear i get spike boost 1,5bar. Can somebody help to deside what to adjust and how much. KFLDIMX ? I need to get boost lower because i think that 1,5bar is too much for my current turbo K03-073. Also my part protection EGT readings are quite hi i think. Car is Audi A4 B5 1.8T AWT avant quattro. Mods: B6 BEX turbo (k03-073)+exhaust manifold and 0280156061 317cc/min 3bar injectors. LDRXN or KFMIRL Title: Re: Help with boost tuning Post by: hipeka on September 14, 2012, 06:00:30 AM Lower target load. LDRXN or KFMIRL So i must have understand wrong some basic stuff. I have assume that LDRXN would define requested boost. My tune request 1,3bar but actual will go way over it. This is assuming you have NO mechanical issues (boost leaks, dv issues, wastegates, lines, n75, etc). No mechanical issues: New dv and n75, pressure test->OK, wastegate tested->ok. Overshoots only in long WOT pulls when starting under 2000rpm. I have tried lower KFLDIMX but then boost stay too low when WOT at 3000rpms. I have tried raise KFLDRQ2 but then boost start oscillate between 0,3-0,7 at steady state conditions (going uphill, steady load). How i should mod KFLDRL? Now its 95% at 95% every rpm sector on it.
