Title: Which injectors to choose?
Post by: BlackCupra on September 21, 2012, 01:11:50 PM
I am currently looking into bigger injectors and am somehow struggeling which ones to use.

Two types are currently in "favorite" list:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/260932315346?item=260932315346&viewitem=&sspagename=ADME:X:RTQ:MOTORS:1123&vxp=mtr

http://www.ebay.com/itm/250360777632?item=250360777632&viewitem=&sspagename=ADME:X:RTQ:MOTORS:1123&vxp=mtr

Both are 550cc, but first ones are EV1 which would have the advantage that I dont need electric connector adapters on 1.8T, the second ones are EV14 from which I read that they seem to be the more modern design, better injectors....

Those EV14 would also make an electric adapter necessary.

The red ones have a 30° cone spray angle.

The black ones 22.4°.

Are there any "real world" experiences with both of these injectors on 1.8T engines out there?

I need to order beginning of next week so its a "little" urgent..

Any hints highly appreciated :-)

BR, Alex

Thank you for your opinion :-)

Could you please clear up WHY you would choose EV14 and why not to buy from ebay?

(I think fiveOmotorsports is reputable....)

Best regards

Alex

Ebay......well there are "clone" injectors now being sold, made in china.  there are a TON of 630's and walbro pumps that are not genuine out on ebay.

You should really buy from a reputable reseller.

The ev14's are a more modern design, and are very easy to tune.  They are as smooth as OEM injectors with very little calibration.

8 of those injectors are like 225 straight from ford motorsorts.
I'd get those and keep for spares or sell 4 of them to offset cost.

iirc, M-9593-G302. Was another 35 for 8 adapters

Ev14's have proven to run like butter compared to the older injectors.  Better idle, easier to tune, consistent, simply just a much better injector.  I sell Bosch EV14's (550cc, 650cc, 750cc, 850cc, 1000cc [which I'm personally running on my B5 S4]) to forum folk, if you're interested shoot me a PM.
