Ecu is in a 2001 a6 manual w/ 2.7t. took us 4 times to read the file but finally got it.
I'll upload the file here in a few min. Was said to be chipped but does not feel like it at all.
Anyone know if i can erase ecu fully and flash an mbox file on it ? vehicle does have immobilizer.

Did you get the head gasket fixed?

I can disable immo for you if you want.

yeah that was on an auto a6 i have also just picked up this manual a6. can you keep immo and still flash or do you have to disable?

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work.  I would boot mode read the serial eeprom, then flash the m-box on top of it, then re-code the cluster for the M box, and then go from there.  You can always boot-mode flash the serial eeprom back and flash the original file back if things get wonky.

If something totally goes bad, you have access to the immo adaptation tools, right?

probably not. i do have a galletto cable now i need a power supply.
i can adapt immo through audi stuff at work if thats what you mean?

When you were having problems reading the file, did you have the car on a battery charger?  Were you using galletto or nefmoto?

yes had a battery charger hooked up and nefmoto no galletto cable
